City & West are pleased to announce the arrival of our specially produced corrugated plastic boxes for our London based customers which we will deliver and collect from them free of charge.(We are planning on rolling this service out nationally soon).
These have been tailor-made to meet our customers recycling needs and are available in 3 different shapes and sizes - a large 6ft coffin-shaped box £25 (1830x254x254mm), a smaller open top crate £15 (650x400x400mm) & an easy-to-store upright standing box £20 (1250x260x260mm).

How Will It Affect You
Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment
A new directive for the recycling of used fluorescent & discharge lamps came into affect on the 1st July 2007. As a result all lighting suppliers will have to comply and charge a 15p per lamp weee levy charge for the recycling on all orders of the affected products as from the 1st of July 2007. City & West will be charging the 15p levy cost on all purchases as a seperate line on your invoices to keep all the charges simple and transparent on the total of affected lamps.
The weee compliance scheme expects business users to arrange (and pay) for the transportation of the waste to recycle drop points around the country. This is why City & West have come up with the 'We2' scheme which takes all the logistic problems away from you.
We cut through the confusion and offer a fresh approach to the issue of WEEE. Our service 'We2' is simple, unique & hassle free. If you are a City & West customer based in London and buy your lamps & tubes from us, we will collect all your lamp waste FREE of charge and arrange for the recycling for you. It's as simple as that. (We will also supply all relevant paperwork)
We are also currently looking at rolling this out for customers outside of London, but for now we will gladly advise you of your local drop points around the country, as the information becomes available to us.
